Flutist – The main focus of interpreters of the so called classical music should be on making the complexities of the music they perform as accessible as possible. Needless to say, part of this complexity is displaying abruptness, anger, calm, love, contempt and other emotions of the interpreters, but, importantly, the interpreter better focus on being a conduit, on not trying to impose himself, but rather on making even sophisticated connections plausible, on focusing on when structures of rhythms and sequences of tones being repeated or having another relation to each other. I was fortunate enough to having got acquainted with a number of works that have not been in the center of attention of listeners, and enjoyed testing them by recording them in various contexts and and by receiving feedback in concerts.
Producer – Had the opportunity to be able to support things that made a difference, in particular Mosolov with the great Arthur Arnold being the best possible partner.
